A Deputy District Attorney with 30 years of experience and a lifelong commitment to victims and justice for all.

Renee Rose is a prosecutor with over 30 years of experience, an advocate for victims and the elderly, a community leader, a passionate volunteer, and now a candidate for Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge.

Renee has proudly served as a prosecutor in both Riverside and Los Angeles counties, dedicating her entire legal career to the protection of crime victims. Through her unique blend of experiences as a Deputy District Attorney, she has come to appreciate the critical role that judges have as the upholders of the law while ensuring fairness and justice.

With experience in the Hardcore Gang Unit, the Major Narcotics Division, the Arson and Explosives Unit, and now the Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse Unit, Renee has worked in some of the most demanding and essential areas of the LADA’s office. As the current Deputy-in-Charge of the Elder Abuse Unit, she supervises a staff that prosecutes crimes against senior victims and developmentally or physically disabled adults.

In addition to prosecuting crimes, Renee dedicates a great deal of time working in the community training law enforcement officers, attorneys, social workers, and other elder-advocacy groups on elder abuse issues. Her expertise and commitment to community has led Renee to conduct dozens of presentations, throughout Los Angeles County, on identifying and avoiding falling victim to the fraudulent schemes and financial scams targeting seniors.

Renee always knew she wanted to be a lawyer. She attended the University of California Santa Barbara and received her law degree from Southwestern Law School. She has conducted over 30 felony jury trials, including 19 murder or attempted murder trials.

Whether it is mentoring 5th graders as part of the LADA office’s “Project Lead” program or warning vulnerable seniors about the latest financial scams, Renee is always looking for ways to help others. She and her husband Brian are active in their local synagogue, their neighborhood association and their daughter’s soccer team, and Girl Scout Troop where they serve as Troop Cookie Chairs. Renee and her daughter are also both active in the National Charity League (NCL). The family lives in the San Gabriel Valley.
